Frequently asked questions
ARE SESSIONS VIRTUAL OR IN PERSON?
Both! I also offer phone sessions. Notably, in person sessions offer a richer session, being that there’s far more information to take in. When a person isn’t tethered to technology, their body moves in unconscious and intuitive ways that reveal more than a face in a screen ever could. This information informs the exercises we do and we, typically, go much deeper.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
One-on-one sessions range in length (between 1 and 2 hours), depending on your needs. Perhaps you need the hour for catharsis; then, at the 60-minute mark you feel ready to open to a new perspective or understanding. If that’s the case, a 90-minute or 2hr session time would allow for your psyche to feel safe and supported. Perhaps you’re someone with a very busy life or active psyche, and you’re juggling several moving parts; again, a 90-min to 2hr session could be best.
On the other hand, you may be looking for a physical practice to support you in a very specific situation, like when you’re performing or in a meeting, and we can begin developing that practice immediately after the meditation. One-hour would be fine for this scenario.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE WORK?
This depends on your needs. There is no commitment to any length of time. Though, most people continue the work for 2+ years.
WHAT is your rate? Do you offer sliding scale?
Session are $175/hr and typically are raised by $10 a year. I offer a limited amount of sliding scale sessions, beginning at $135/session.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes. Check with your provider to ensure that your coverage accepts registered social workers.
